The Rosselkhoznadzor invited the EU countries to stop certification of cut flowers from the Netherlands. As explained by RBC representative of the agency, the answer has not yet been received. In case of refusal Rosselkhoznadzor is ready to impose a ban. The Rosselkhoznadzor is ready to impose a ban on flowers from the Netherlands, if the phytosanitary services of EU countries do not suspend the certification of Dutch products, said Alexei Alekseenko, the assistant to the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor. As he said, speeches about restrictions on import do not go yet. Alekseenko explained that the agency only invited the national organizations for quarantine and plant protection of the EU countries "to fully suspend phytosanitary certification of Dutch cut flowers for delivery to Russia", but they have not yet responded to this proposal with consent. Consultations, he said, will be held in the near future. "We are ready to introduce our own limitations, but we hope that our colleagues will themselves limit the issuance of phytosanitary certificates," he said.
Earlier, the agency TASS with reference to Alekseenko reported that it was a question of a complete ban on the import of cut flowers.
