Chamaecyparis are the coniferous trees having pancaked sprays of closed adult leaves and are evergreen plants. The genus of Chamaecyparis comes from the Greek words, which are chamai means low-growing and kyparissos means cypress trees. Chamaecyparis adolescent leaves are egg-shaped and larger to elongate.
