Zinnia

Zinnia photo

Zinnia, sometimes known as Zinnia elegans, is a genus family of sunflower. It cultivates in dry grassland and grows from 4 inch to 40 inches (10 to 100 cm) tall. Zinnia plants are native to South America and Southwestern United States. They can also be found in Mexico. They are very attractive because of their long stems with flowers that vary in colors, such as purple, lilac, yellow, white, chartreuse, and red. The flowers grow in different shapes. They can bloom in either a dome shape or only a row of petals.

The leaves are stalk-less and vary in shapes as well. Some leaves are elongated and others are egg-shaped. The colors can either be green or pale. Zinnia plants grow in an area where there is full sunlight with a minimum of daylight temperature at 60 degrees Fahrenheit. They are adjustable to any soils but grow more effectively in a well-drained, humus-rich, and fertile soil at pH preference from 5.5 to 7.5. If the soil is fertilized and well cared for, the plant will grow even more quickly.

The weather in Holland is unpredictable, but in summer you can certainly plant Zinnia (only if your soil is properly nourished and the atmosphere is suitable for the plant to grow). Contact Astra Fund Holland BV to know how to get Zinnia flowers wholesale and grow them with the help of their professional horticulturists.
